[VIDEO] IBIS 'Ensuring a safe exploitation of space' at II UPM Innovatech Workshop

Hodei Urrutxua, PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at UPM, presented IBIS at II UPM innovatech workshop.

IBIS is a highly advanced numerical simulation tool oriented to the end-to-end design and analysis of Active Space Debris Removal missions using an Ion Beam Shepherd. There are 6000 tons of space debris and a satellite collision results in economical and  operational losses that may be worth hundreds of millions of €.
